This is truly aweeesoooommmeee - Techy accessories meets vintage inspired. I got the Iphone cover last Friday at a shop at I12 Katong which I went back to change yesterday due to the loose fit.
A quick scour online I found a local seller on Ebay and decided to purchase the Ipad version. It was definitely the swiftest transaction made online. Purchase made at about 5:16pm and I had the items in my hands at 9pm. Met the seller who was obliging enough to meet later in the night after the transaction was made.
Altogether 3 Ipad cases (for my dad, bro and I) and an Iphone cover (for my dad) were purchased. The seller from the drawerbox did mention the good quality of the Iphone cover after I pointed out the experience with my previous purchase. After comparing my father’s piece with mine it was very apparent that the one from thedrawerbox was way better… and through studying the two its an authentic version. The one purchased from thedrawerbox was clearly alot more solid with sturdier inner-lining, the exterior aged paint job was way more natural than mine, there was the twelve south logo embossed at the back and the volume keys are not cut out. Bleah!
Service wise I am very impressed with the quick response, obliging enough to meet at short notice, quick and easy transaction and good quality of the products. Based online head over to thedrawerbox to grab this vintagey book cover for iphone and/or ipad.

My lil fluffball Pablo is an adorable toy poodle with a really oddball personality. With him turning 10 years old (70 years old in dog years) this year I wanted to have a lil memento. His usual hair appointment was approaching and a light bulb lit. I Googled dog fur bracelet and found a website that specializes in creating horse hair bracelets as well as dog fur. The bad part was that horse hair and the dog fur used were long smooth, straight strands and well a poodle’s hair (as it is called) is curly. I was inspired and took on the challenge starting with researching spindle techniques.
With the bag of his hair in short strands it was going to be difficult. No spindle and lazy to create a diy drop spindle I fluked it. Following the plate technique I gathered his hair into a bunch and then rolled the piece together forming dreadlock-like pieces. I needed 3 to plait into a bracelet. It was not that simple a task, joints between the pieces were weak so it was a whole lot of patch and roll. I then dyed the pieces diluting the dye in hot water and squeezing off the excess color followed by washing and disinfecting them before leaving it to dry. The result left a pastel hue of pink and blue while keeping the last strand his natural hair color. Following the 3-strand plait I finished it off by wrapping gold threads and weaving it through the plait. Doubled the gold string for a little more sparkle. Add a crab claw hook and loop and it’s ready to wear.
A lil doggy memento to add to an arm-party!
Dress: H&M | Shoes: GoJane | Watch: Michael Kors | Spike Bracelets: Scape Flea
With the amount of times and moolah I spend at H&M and GoJane respectively, I think I should get a membership of sorts… seriously! I have been pretty much going to H&M more or less every weekend I’m in town… no joke! And I always find something to leave with. This was the day my GoJane stuff arrived so I couldn’t wait to wear out my new shoes. It’s kinda funny but the black pair was a tad more roomy than my neon yellow pair but both comfy enough to wear out. Mum’s bday dinner was so filling I was stuffed without even having rice. DIY popiah and sambal fried fish was heavenly! Can’t remember the name of the restaurant but my tummy is growling now just thinking of it.
One of the places in cyberspace that I just look forward to checking out is GoJane. A great e-shop that especially in recent months have an awesome selection not just in the shoe department which I used to shop mostly at but clothes and accessories too! The best part is the easy-on-the-pocket factor which allows me to make the most out of my orderings.
My recent orders came a lil faster than usual so I was so surprised to see the awe exciting box laying at my living room. Well not all are mine but I was long awaiting the cap toe heels coz I think they are just aweeeesome! Bought them in two colors together with a cross bangle, spiked midi ring and a cosmic tiger blouse… and let me say it is tough to get nice tiger print stuff.
People who know me know how I love shopping at this site. So if you love to grab on-trend/inspired pieces made with decent quality materials this is the place to check out. So far my shoe orders have been extremely satisfactory - great price, varied selection (updates are daily), comfy, half-size options and relatively size consistent. Clothing sizes range from S to L so the fit is way better than free size.

City Plaza - a place that girls have shopped at least once in their life but never wanna admit it. Well this place is great! Got these skull tees at a steal - $10 each! Ended up getting both coz I couldn’t decide which colour to settle with. Am gonna attempt at DIY with the white top to recreate a Premonition Designs’ inspired piece. I’m currently flowing toward maroon hues so I grabbed this basic metal collar tip top when I saw it. Yay!
Every Sat, Scape is like a maze of stuff and I needed to get new pieces for my accessories collection (not like I don’t have enough!). Found the bone/rib cage ring that I passed on during my latest GoJane order and was in total need of a simple silver necklace so those were must have buys. The other stuff was the shopaholic in me just going crazy which is hard not to at Scape. I especially love the dragon ear cuff/earring which I’ve seen online previously but never got to ordering them.
Whenever I head to town, H&M is a must must shopping stop to make. I just lurve H&M’s variety and for the most bit its easy on the wallet. Snagged an arm cuff that was rather similar to the Topshop one I wanted but didn’t come to Singapore’s stores. Another piece I’m glad I got was the hair cuff! Great piece that adds a lil pizazz to a ponytail. And that dress! For just $24.90 how could I not leave the store without it! Wore it for my momma’s birthday dinner yesterday. Will post pics of that and my latest GoJane order in my next post.
