2nd Chanel Bag Wishlist - Boy Bags

Them Chanel Boy Bags are getting prettier through the seasons. I especially think these three are uber enticing - from the Fall 2012 and Resort 2013 collections. Still on the hunt for my Classic Flap (Jumbo) but am gonna keep an eye out for these Boy Bags when my second Chanel bag fund is ready. Gonna pace myself though…

Euro Treasures

Shopping in Europe was pretty awesome. I didn’t come back with a whole lot but I definitely spent and was really satisfied with what I came home with. Only a few minor let downs… one was a tweed blazer that I should have just paid for but rushing back to the hotel before checkout made me give it a pass, a pair of black wedge sneakers which were flooded in Rome but I took it for granted to be in abundance within Madrid and Barcelona and lastly my biggest letdown was the Chanel classic flap jumbo in caviar which was sold out throughout the destinations I traveled and my alternatives too were out of stock at my last destination in the Barcelona store. All in all though there was the usual high street stores like Zara, H&M, Mango, Massimo Dutti which were slightly cheaper than the stores here.

A bunch of my favorite purchases while I was in Rome, Madrid, Portugal and Barcelona besides the earlier post of the antique toilet roll holder.

My first few purchases in Rome, I’ve been eyeing one for the longest time and planned to buy one in black or lagoon. In the end, I left the store with a matching wallet which was not planned.

Got this in Madrid. I initially wanted a turquoise neon version but after seeing this piece online I decided to settle with the more rich and elegant teal.

I saw this on the way to Bottega and returned back after to get it. It is so unique and the store was filled with really unique bags.

My rebound purchase after being disappointed for the last time at Chanel in Barcelona. But honestly I did like the design and shape of the shades - simple, chic and versatile.

I’m usually not one for souvenirs but I just love the things in those touristy souvenir shops. I purchased the mask in Rome to add to my humble collection of Venetian masks. Its so intricately designed and pretty durable. The scarf is a typical Spanish designed scarf which I bought in Madrid while the fan I bought in Sevilla.

Depending on time, I might be putting up a post on shops to check out when your in Europe which I enjoyed.

Something You’d Find In Carrie B’s Closet

I was recently introduced to the TEMI by Braccialini line of fantasy themed bags. Loving interestingly designed accessories, I really wanted to blog about these. A collection of fun and aesthetically elaborate bags with a hint of quirk, the line just reminded me of something you’d find in Carrie Bradshaw’s closet. Debuting this season are PettiRosso (robin), Violino (violin) and Fisarmonica (accordian). I especially love the Fisarmonica!

As much as they aren’t for the faint-hearted, there is something special about these bags that’s makes them really interesting. Each piece is handcrafted using the highest standard of Italian craftsmanship with only 1 piece of each design available in Singapore. Each piece feels like carrying a piece of art. Even just displaying them in a glass case would be exquisite.

In Detail

PettiRossais a robin shaped bag with feathers and suede and kidskin polychrome leathers. The handbag features a fine ‘piping construction’; the beak is made of golden hammered metal. [RRP: $2,530]

Violinois a precious hand-dabbed and hand-smoothed calfskin creates a real violin. The golden enameled brass accessory plays a leather role for this sophisticated handbag. The ‘molded form’ construction is the result of experience artisanship. [RRP: $2,530]

Fisarmonica might be a handbag, but this accordian seems real enough to play. It is made of brushed calfskin and kidskin. Maniacal attention to detail makes it richly unique: the golden metal plaque with musical notes, the mother-of-pearl look keys, the black leather bellows and the colourful enameled flowers. [RRP: $2,720]

Available at Galleria Italiana #02-28 Orchard Central, 181 Orchard Road

Which One To Get???

Europe is less than a week away! It still hasn’t fully sunk in yet. It has been way too long since I was last there. I’m especially excited to visit Rome which has been on my list of Must See In My Lifetime. While I am camera-ready to snap away I am also ecstatic to get my hands on some stuff. Chanel is a must! Been dying to get one since I started earning. But with the worthwhile pricing I’m hoping to leave with one more but I am spoilt for choice - Proenza Schouler PS1 or Balenciaga Giant 12? And if Balenciaga - Rose gold or silver? Let’s see…

Anna Dello Russo For H&M

Just a couple of pieces I would love to get my hands on… yes I am still dreaming! I have been ogling after the latest upcoming collection that being Anna Dello Russo H&M collection. Bold, statement pieces with a touch of Venetian flavour. A little on the pricey side but the collection is just yummy (since Versace for H&M). And the packaging! I’d be happy just to have a couple of em’ boxes! Haha! Unfortunately I will be out of town when it releases here. Am hoping to drop by a H&M store in Spain… hopefully they’ll be carrying the collection there minus the crowds coz H&M here is insane during these collection launches.

The City That Never Sleeps

Literally! Hong Kong was literally still lit in full force even after the sun goes down. The short trip there was a good experience especially being my first time. The weather was puuuurfect! Ranging from 13-19 degrees, I was ecstatic to be in my boots and jacket! Favourite meal hands down was scrambled eggs and ham for dinner at Australian Dairy Farm!

I didn’t buy as much like I would if I were in Bangkok but I was satisfied nonetheless. Plus with my slightly overcrowded wardrobe… control is all the more important. Thanks to all who gave me places to check out!

Clutching The Cage

I’m kinda proud of the way this piece turned out! I spent a couple of nights figuring out how to piece it together and this is the final product. I just brought it out tonight for a test run and it worked out splendidly! My very own cage clutch! On the ride home, a few other designs popped into my head which I can’t wait to try.

I’ll be selling them at $65 a piece online so if you’re interested, drop me a mail at rougenikita@gmail.com!
